This is a RP journal. I am not Lavinia, or Lovecraft--although I am slowly putting together a Lovecraftean novel with Lavinia as the protagonist.

Lavinia Whateley--daughter of a demented sorcerer and a Deep One hybrid from Innsmouth. Former consort-sacrifice to the Elder God Yog Sothoth. Mother of the eldritch twins Wilbur Whateley and the nameless Dunwich Horror. One of the few female Lovecraft characters, she vanished before the climax of Lovecraft's story, presumably a victim of one of her sons.

But what if she had escaped instead? What if she, realizing that she had been brainwashed into assisting with a world-ending plot, instead rebelled, and thwarted it by unchaining the guard dog that was mysteriously loose on the Miskatonic grounds the night her son Wilbur broke into the Library? What if she was then left to return to the wreckage of the Whateley farm, steal her father's books and gold, and leave to make her own fortune?

This character's story is the story of what comes after that.

Lavinia is over a century old and looks to be in her late thirties with her Glamours on. (Without the Glamours she has an eerily fishy cast to her looks and her age can't be placed.). The player is well over 18.

Warning for the squeamish: Lavinia is far more of an anti-hero than a villain, and can even be sympathetic. However, she is also a Lovecraftean character, and considers things like baby Shoggoths, flying by Nightgaunt, Deep One cousins, human-monster hybridization, the eventual truly-horrible end of the world, and the odd human sacrifice to be perfectly normal. I tend to write her with a touch of humor, but there is a lot of OH DEAR GOD in there too. Just sayin'.
